If you are looking for an unforgettable scuba diving adventure in Lombok, the Pink Beach area in Southeast Lombok is one of the top-rated spots by our divers. Just a short ride from Kuta, this unspoiled region offers healthy coral gardens, a fascinating underwater landscape with colorful slopes, dramatic walls, and even a fabulous cave waiting to be explored. This diversity of dive sites allows everyone to find their perfect experience. Here you can encounter rare and beautiful marine life: nudibranchs, frogfish, sea snakes, crabs, shrimps, moray eels, and turtles. For lucky divers, seasonal visitors such as mobula rays or even whale sharks might appear, making the dive truly unforgettable. If you’re planning a dive or snorkeling trip in Lombok and the Gili Islands, chances are high that you’ll meet one of the most loved underwater residents – the sea turtle. The Gilis are among the best places in Indonesia to spot them, making it a dream for divers and snorkelers from all over the world. Why Are the Gili Islands Famous for Sea Turtles? The Gili Islands – Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air – are surrounded by healthy coral reefs that provide food and shelter for two main species of turtles: green turtles and hawksbill turtles. Here, they graze on algae and sponges, rest under coral ledges, and gracefully swim through the currents. On many dives, you may see several turtles in just one trip! How to Behave Around Turtles – Do’s and Don’ts Meeting a turtle underwater is unforgettable, but it’s important to protect them and their environment. Here are some tips from the Scuba Froggy team: ✅ Do this: Keep calm and neutral in the water – let the turtle approach you naturally. Give them space to swim up for air or settle back down on the reef. Watch quietly and enjoy – turtles are often curious and may come close. ❌ Don’t do this: Never chase, grab, or touch a turtle. Don’t block their path or crowd them with other divers. Avoid standing on coral – it damages the reef and the turtle’s habitat. Dive with Scuba Froggy – Safe and Respectful Encounters At Scuba Froggy Lombok, we organize daily diving and snorkeling trips to the Gili Islands, Secret Gilis, and Pink Beach. Our professional guides know the best turtle spots and ensure you can enjoy these magical encounters safely, in small groups, and with full respect for marine life....

Luckily, after two years, Indonesia opened the borders for international travellers with a no-quarantine policy for vaccinated people flying via Bali. For us, it is a perfect time to announce a new schedule for our liveaboard MV Empress that will re-start operations in June 2022. What`s new? – We extended a dive plan from the route from Bali to Komodo: now we start diving with manta rays in Nusa Penida, then with turtles in Gili Islands, after that with whale sharks in Sumbawa, after that we reach Banta Island with beautiful coral gardens and manta rays and finish in the best dive sites of North and Central Komodo. The trip takes 9 days/8 nights. – the Forgotten Islands trip plan has been changed: we depart in October from Alor to Ambon to increase our chance of meeting hammerhead sharks. The trip takes 9 days/8 nights and is recommended to more experienced divers. – Komodo trips – in 2022 you have a selection of 3 different routes and lengths of the trips: 4 days/3 nights, 5 days/4 nights and 7 days/6 nights; depending on how much time you can stay on the boat. The liveaboard trip is an extraordinary opportunity to experience real boat life, the diversity of the marine life of Indonesia, and improve your dive skills. MV Empress is a single-traveller and family-friendly boat, with delicious food, a smiling but experienced crew and an easy-going atmosphere. Now, we offer free rental of kayak and SUP as alternatives for your leisure time in-between dives.
